These students come from rural backgrounds in Sikkim, making this achievement even more commendable. Puja Limboo, selected as a Management Trainee at Sterling Holidays, expressed her gratitude, saying, “Throughout my journey at Medhavi Skills University, I was fortunate to have the guidance of a supportive mentor who played a crucial role in shaping my skills and knowledge. The opportunity to participate in On-the-Job Learning and various projects provided me with invaluable hands-on experience. These experiences have significantly enhanced my learning and personal growth.”
The skill-based education model at MSU has played a crucial role in shaping the careers of these students. A key factor behind their success is the university’s industry-aligned training approach. During their course, students worked as apprentices with leading hospitality brands such as The Hyatt and ITC, gaining practical exposure and professional expertise. This early industry immersion gave them the confidence and skills to excel in the highly competitive hospitality sector.
The BHHM program at MSU is designed to provide students with a blend of academic knowledge and real-world experience. By integrating theoretical learning with practical training, the university ensures that students are well-prepared for the demands of the hospitality industry. Their recent placements are a testament to the effectiveness of this approach.
Regina Gurung, selected as a Resort Executive Trainee at Sterling Holidays, shared her excitement: “Being selected for placement at Sterling Holidays is an incredibly joyful and proud moment for me. It feels like a big step toward my dreams and a reward for all the dedication and hard work I’ve put in.
