Raj Bhavan gears up for Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Day celebrations

In preparation for Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Day celebrations, a high-level meeting was convened on February 3 at Raj Bhavan under the directives of Hon’ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur. The meeting was chaired by Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje (IAS), and focused on the timely completion of key projects aligned with the upcoming celebrations.
Officials from the Culture Department, Forest and Environment Department, Horticulture Department, and Building and Housing Department participated in the discussions. The Commissioner-cum-Secretary emphasized the significance of expediting ongoing developmental projects within the Raj Bhavan premises, ensuring they are completed before the grand celebration of Sikkim’s 50th year of statehood.
The Statehood Day celebrations are expected to be a historic event, marking Sikkim’s journey of progress and development since joining the Indian Union in 1975.
