Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has extended his heartfelt congratulations to filmmaker Tribeny Rai, whose upcoming Nepali film Shape of Momo has won the prestigious HAF Goes to Cannes award at the Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF). The recognition is a major achievement for Sikkim’s growing film industry, bringing international acclaim to regional cinema.
In his congratulatory message, the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating that it reflects the talent, dedication, and creative brilliance of Sikkim’s filmmakers. “This accomplishment not only makes us proud but also strengthens Sikkim’s position on the global cinema map. The HAF Goes to Cannes program, organized by HKIFF Industry and Marché du Film, Festival de Cannes, offers selected projects the opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival 2025. It serves as a vital platform for emerging filmmakers, allowing them to connect with international sales agents, distributors, and film festivals, thereby expanding their global reach.
